The 40-Date UK Adventure Film and Speaker Tour has been running for eight years, evolving from a humble idea into a highly successful nationwide event. What began as a small-scale project has grown into a highly anticipated tour, bringing a taste of Kendal Mountain Festival to audiences across the UK.
Each stop features an exclusive screening of groundbreaking adventure films, showcasing stunning landscapes and personal stories from incredible journeys. After the films, renowned adventure speakers, such as Louise Minchin and Leo Houlding, take the stage, offering a wealth of knowledge and captivating stories that engage and inspire audiences.
I managed talent booking and curation, carefully selecting the right speakers for each event to ensure a perfect fit for the audience and the event's theme. From initial outreach to final confirmations, I coordinated all aspects of their involvement, providing them with the necessary support, including briefing them on event specifics, coordinating travel and accommodation, and ensuring they had everything they needed for a smooth and successful experience.
I’ve also worked closely with leading outdoor brands like Passenger, Blundstone, and Cotswold Outdoor, ensuring their brand presence is seamlessly integrated into each tour stop. Supporting local outdoor community groups has been another key aspect, providing them with a platform to share their stories and connect with wider audiences. My ability to combine strategic planning, creative input, and logistical oversight has been essential in delivering memorable, engaging events that resonate with attendees and brands alike.
This tour is a direct reflection of my skills in planning, organising, and delivering exceptional live events. My ability to oversee every aspect, from concept to execution, has been key in creating an experience that resonates deeply with audiences and fosters a strong sense of community and adventure.

As the production manager for the Kendal Mountain Festival, an annual event held in Cumbria that has been running for over 40 years and now attracts around 20,000 attendees, I worked closely with Fluid, the technical provider, as well as the venues and production staff to ensure every event ran seamlessly across 11 indoor venues and a vibrant 'Basecamp Village' with two additional stages.
I coordinated all technical aspects, including audio-visual setups, lighting, and staging, ensuring that Fluid had the necessary resources and support for flawless execution.
Additionally, I collaborated closely with programmers and event directors to create detailed running orders for each event, ensuring that every element, from film screenings to speaker sessions, ran according to plan. I also handled floor management, overseeing the smooth flow of each event, managing staff, ensuring timely transitions between sessions, and addressing any on-the-ground challenges in real-time.
By liaising with each venue to align on schedules, space requirements, and technical needs, and by leading the production team to ensure efficient on-site operations, I ensured that the festival maintained a dynamic, immersive experience across all venues and stages.
My attention to detail and proactive communication allowed us to anticipate issues, troubleshoot on the spot, and keep everything running seamlessly from start to finish.

Over three years, I had the opportunity to work closely with Montane as we took the long-running festival event Secret Sessions on tour around the North West and North East of England. What started as a 4-date tour grew into a 6-date bespoke tour, visiting small, unique venues such as restaurants, breweries, and museums.
The tour offered an interactive and intimate experience with a 'secret' renowned adventurer, creating a special environment for engaging conversations and sharing personal stories.
I was responsible for presenter and speaker curation and management, ensuring the right adventurers and experts were selected to fit the unique nature of each event.
Throughout the process, I worked closely with the Montane team to develop their brand presence both within the venues and across our social media platforms, ensuring their message was seamlessly integrated into the event experience. This collaboration allowed us to create a memorable tour that not only brought Montane closer to its audience but also showcased the brand’s commitment to adventure and exploration in a personal and authentic way.

Studio and On Location Film Production
I specialise in producing compelling wraparounds for cinematic film curations, live-streamed events, and filmed content for online viewing.
Overseeing each project from concept to completion, both in studio settings and on location. By working closely with technical and production teams, I ensure a flawless final product, coordinating every aspect of the production process. The studio provides the perfect space for detailed shoots, while the stunning Lake District offers a naturally cinematic backdrop for outdoor productions.
Ultimately, my work ensures that each project resonates with audiences and enhances their viewing experience, whether live-streamed or for on-demand viewing.
